I’m sure you are all bored of me raving on about Revlon’s Photoready Blush in Neutral by now, but a few of you asked for a more in-depth review and a comparison post, so here it goes. It’s fair to say that Neutral has pretty much been all that has adorned my apples since I brought it over a month ago now. Revlon are famed for their natural skin-like formulations in wearable colours and this blush fits exactly into that mould. A neutral blush with a nice amount of pink and a slight golden shimmer; it gives such a natural glow to the cheeks and stays around all day too. It was always one that caught my eye and I’m so glad I finally took the plunge and purchased it as I think it is my new favourite blush, especially when I look at it compared to my other neutral offerings.
From left to right in the pictures above we have the Revlon Photoready Blush in Neutral, Almay Wake Up Blush in Pink – a ridiculously pigmented neon pink & Maybelline Creamy Cinnamon a pale neutral peach blush with a golden sheen. Before I swatched them all I was certain that Neutral was a spot-on dupe for Maybelline’s Creamy Cinnamon, but once I’d compared them side to side, although it’s the closest dupe that I own Creamy Cinnamon is much pigmented and more pinky. And I think it’s fair to conclude that although a gorgeous shade the Almay Blush in Pink doesn’t really compare.
So if you have Maybelline’s Creamy Cinnamon you might be able to give Revlon Neutral a miss, depending on how much of a neutral blush obsessive you are! However, do I recommend Neutral? Of course I do – it’s bloody good!
