I’m half tempted to plan a trip to Paris under the guise of a ‘getaway’, with the sole purpose to pay homage to every French Beauty Brand ever mentioned. However I’m pretty sure the family’s clicked on to my makeup-madness ways and would be able to see the word ‘Bioderma’ written all over my face. So I’ll have to make do with what’s on my doorstep beauty-wise and my favourite for a Parisian style perusal brimming with skincare, niche finds and few miscellaneous treasures is New Beauty Centre on S.V. Road, Khar. It’s got that secretive hush-hush feel about it, the staff are up to their eyeballs with knowledge and I’ve never seen shelves ache so much under the full range of Bourjois (yep even that bloody Healthy Mix Foundation), need I say anymore? Here’s what I picked up on my most recent jaunt…

A year ago I was wrapped in a deep MAC Lipstick ‘must have them all’ obsession. I was all about the baby nudes and peachy pinks back then and although I’m still partial to a P.P, I’ve had an overwhelming urge over the last few weeks to expand my collection and fill a gap that has seemingly appeared in my stash; a hit of colour (MAC Hue was just looking a wee bit porno in the winter months) and an eyeliner.

2016 nail polishes swatch

Fellow bloggers aside, you guys are my biggest enablers. The comments you leave with suggestions of products you think I’ll love, Facebook messages giving me a nudge to indulge and tweets opening my eyes to tempting special offers left right and centre. I don’t need much of an excuse to find a justification for treating myself. I’ll pick up a tub of Baskin Robins’ cause I woke up to my alarm without snoozing it in the morning (not the most regular occurrences). The excuse for my latest purchases? It was Friday. I think I’ve reached a new low. But to be fair I did have Rs.100 off with my Lifestyle Inner Circle card – if you haven’t got one and spend a small fortune in there, what are you thinking? Get on it! So what did I purchase? Well let me tell you…

Maybelline Colorshow Burgundy Blend

It was never going to be long before a berry burgundy lippie popped up on the blog, was it? Pathetic. Ah well, sharing the love and all that – a new appreciation for ‘out-there’ lip colours has been birthed but I’m always going to have a special place in my heart for anything toned with B.B (berry burgundy). Enter the Maybelline Lipstick in Burgundy Blend

It takes quite a lot for me to write about a hand cream because I don’t often find them that exciting. And because I am addicted to my body products, I find that I usually use those on my hands too and it is fairly adequate. However, I have completely fallen for the The Body Shop Honeymania Hand Cream because it is such a delight to use.
