WiseShe Oval Brush

If you haven’t seen or heard about oval brushes you must have been under a rock! They blew up on Instagram and have been highly coveted after ever since, but ‘that’ infamous brand came with a fairly hefty price tag. I was intrigued and as more dupe type brushes were released I really wanted to know what the hype was about so I jumped at the chance to test Anamika Sureka’s new venture of WiseShe Oval Brushes, and she kindly sent me the face brush*.

With a successful stint in nail rehab almost complete, my mind is firmly stuck on the subject of nail colour. I just can’t seem to shake it. It’s like one of those ‘don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone and there’s 40 of them staring in a drawer back at you crying to be painted onto your talons’ situations. But while pondering all things lacquer, one clear thought has come to the forefront – my mani mantra – if in doubt, paint on Faces’ Molten Rust. When I finally decide my nails are ready to be treated with a layer of colour again, this is top of my list. Have I raved about this enough in the past few weeks? No I think not. A perfect blend of orange, red and brown – I’ve now christened it my favourite nail colour of all time. Say what?!

I’m starting to think that I may be romanticising my love affair with L’Oreal Paris’ True Match Liquid Foundation a little. I search amazon on a daily basis for a bottle, often get a little sad about its discontinued status and with my last drop deposited the hunt for its replacement has never been hotter. Next on my list of possible dupes to try, test and match against my ticklist of why the True Match Liquid was so awesome (ridiculously long-lasting, good but natural looking coverage, and a balanced dewy/matte finish if you were wondering) is Innisfree’s Longwear Cover Cushion Foundation.*
