Super Liner Blackbuster

L’Oreal Paris just seem to bring it when it comes to products that seamlessly weave their way into your everyday routine. The Super Liner Gelmatic in Blue, The 6 oil Nourish Extraordinary oil, The Anti-Breakout Facial Cleanser – oh have I not mentioned the last one before? That will be popping up soon, but you get the gist. Kick-ass products that leave you scratching your head as to what you used before them. Their Super Liner Blackbuster doesn’t so much fit into that category. It’s a black, felt liner that when placed into the wrong hands can create panda eyes in seconds. However duo-ed with a gentle touch and informed technique it can be pretty much whatever you want it to be.

Time for a bit more of Revlon and in this episode I find lavender-pink lipstick heaven!! I have the shade Porcelain Pink and it’s love. Oh my goodness, I am loving this lipstick. It’s a perfect pearl, doesn’t dry the lips, feels super comfortable and also looks amazing. I love it! I am obsessed with pink lipstick and Porcelain Pink really is my perfect pink. I am SO glad I chose that shade. I absolutely love it. It is easy to apply, makes lips appear fuller and more flawless and literally lasts and lasts. The major plus point is that it is very nourishing and doesn’t dry out the lips at all. And I am loving this shade!

Revlon Casino Lights2

I’ve been stuck in a nail colour rut recently. OK, I’ve been experimenting with nail wraps and you know I have a penchant for sheer nudes; I’ve even indulged in a one-coat blobbed on in the back of a cab mani (which actually went surprisingly well), but I just hadn’t found ‘the one’, you know? A punch of colour that has you looking down every five minutes in a ‘new shoes‘ kind of way. Well I’ve found it. After a rummage around in the lacquer stocks I found this polish I purchased as a souvenir, a whole five months ago that hadn’t even been slicked on once. Criminal, I know. Ladies and Gents, Revlon’s ColorStay Gel Envy longwear polish in Casino Lights

I admit it. I’m the world’s worst beauty blogger when it actually comes down to wearing makeup. If I’m having a homebody day, not a scrap touches my face (unless it’s for review purposes, in which case I put it on) and at weekends? Less is more in my mind. The Marks & Spencer All-in-One Mascara comes into play on the latter explained occasion. A layer of this topped up with some BB cream, bronzer and a slick of lip balm is me sorted over those two days and after a few months of this routine I couldn’t quite believe that I hadn’t dedicated an ode to it yet on these pages. Mascaras are a bit of a minefield but this ticks all the boxes…

loccitane immortelle secret to brightness

After my spa confession last year, here’s another one for you – I’ve never had a facial. I know, I know. I spend my life wrapped up in the beauty world, branding the ‘Skincare Junkie’ tag around and even turned my bathroom into a spa smelling scene the other day all in the aid of trying something new (more on that at the weekend). But a facial? Never been there. That doesn’t mean I haven’t flirted with the idea – oh I’ve browsed many the spa menu. But I’ve never found the right facial fit and felt a little perplexed at the long list of treatments out there. Extraction? Lymphatic drainage massage? The balancing of chakras? Not. A. Clue. So I guess L’Occitane came along at the right time to slip me out of my skincare slump and after sampling the sensory delight that is their Immortelle Secret to Brightness Facial* I think I’ve found a solution for fellow travellers of the newbie facial boat and developed the lust for a pretty pricey habit…

Here’s the low down on the Maybelline Volum’ Express Falsies Mascara. So first off, this is a beautiful looking mascara. The packaging is so gorgeous and it feels really nice to hold which I think is pretty important for a mascara!

Colorbar Metallic Nail Lacquer Bejewelled

There is something about sporting metallic talons that just makes me feel glamourous, you know? Simple, elegant, chic, but with a touch of ladylikeness about it. Being a nude lover, I don’t have too many polishes to reach for when this mood takes over, so it’s Colorbar’s Bejewelled or nothin’. But I’m OK with that as Bejewelled is fast climbing my Colorbar chart…
