Being a lover of all makeup sticks, I pretty much pounced on this Almay Clear Complexion Concealer + Treatment when I saw it in CVS (sorry to keep going on about NYC). We don’t have Almay here and I am not sure we ever will. 🙁

You ladies know I am a self-proclaimed Lipstick whore 😉 But every now and again I do slip over to the glossier side of proceedings. I am sure it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that my best friend is constantly topping up her gloss (what can I say, I am easily influenced), but this past few weeks have seen a lipgloss be thrown into the depths of my makeup bag.

Current lipstick love swatch

I tried to think of some ‘witty’ title for this post but with no avail. ‘Current Lipstick Love’ gets right to the point doesn’t it 😉 If you are a regular reader of this blog, you will know that I go through phases with lipstick; sometimes I can’t get enough, other times I prefer to ditch the lipstick pile on the gloss (Revlon Brown Sugar is my glossing weapon of choice). But recently I have been re-embracing my sizeable lipstick collection. Ones like Rimmel Alarm and Faces Black Cherry will always be at the top of the pile, but my new love is a lipstick that has been hanging around for a while, over a year actually (naughty) – it’s Rimmel Burgundy Shine.

You know sometimes you get that sudden rush of inspiration when it comes to makeup? As sad as it sounds, that is what has happened to me over the past few weeks 🙂 The first thing I think about when I wake up is what makeup I am going to wear that day. I know it’s lame – but hey we all need something to give us that kick out of bed at 6.30am 😉 So something that I have been experimenting with is an uber simple smoky eye – no fancy colour combinations going on here, just one colour blended all over the lid and slightly above the crease, it seriously takes 2 minutes with my trusty MAC 217. I have been leaning more towards deep browns, nothing too on the cool side – more warm taupes and these are my fav’s.

Revlon Blue Slate swatch

This is the 3rd ever Revlon nail polish I have ever tried and I have to say, it has had a serious mani love effect on me. It is one of the most beautiful colours I have ever laid eyes on! It also helps that the packaging is just incredible! This is Revlon Longwear Nail Lacquer in Blue Slate.

mac pro longwear eyeliner in black ice review

Lotus Herbals Natural Kajal, MAC Pro Longwear Eyeliner in Black Ice, Maybelline Colossal Kajal

I got it for my birthday, and with a Rs.990 price tag this is definitely something to purchase as a treat! But isn’t it beautiful? The colour itself is right up my street! A rich black, with a modern matte finish it is easily something that could be worn everyday just swept over the waterline. Although the colour is a beaut, it’s the formula that does it for me. The consistency is lightly creamy but more waxy than anything else, so it glides across well enough, it’s one of those you have to feel to believe, as dreamy as that sounds! It comes housed in a light wooden pencil with a luxe signature MAC black matte finish. Ever since I brought it last month I have worn it everyday since on my eyes with lashes of mascara. The staying power is good, I put on my makeup about 8am and by 9pm it is still around, but slightly faded. To show you it’s true beauty, I have attempted to take a photo of it on the eyes, but in true beauty blogger style despite taking around 30 photos they were all pants and I’ve had to settle for one where you can see a tiny hint of colour peeking out from the inner corners of my eye.
