If I had to name my 5 favourites things in the world then chocolate fudge would be on the list right behind Zachary Levi, Ganpati festival and family (perhaps not in that exact order). Especially the super gooey, melt-in-your-mouth ones. I’ve never tried making anything like this before and was very excited to try a chocolate based recipe. Surprisingly it turned out well & I thought maybe you guys would love to try it as well.
Chocolate Fudge Recipe
You will need: 1 cup baking chocolate, 200 grams sweet condensed milk, 1 tablespoon butter, nuts (optional), vanilla extract (optional).
Line an aluminium foil in a square pan. Ensure that the foil covers all sides. Take the baking chocolate, condensed milk & butter in a bowl. You can use either salted or unsalted butter. Heat 1 cup water in a pan on medium heat till the water becomes hot & begins to boil. Lower the heat & place the bowl containing the earlier mixture on the pan. (You can also melt the chocolate in a microwave alternatively.) As soon as you keep the bowl, the chocolate will start melting.
Stir often while the chocolate is melting. When all the chocolate has melted, turn off the heat. (You can add the nuts & vanilla extract at this point.) Mix very well & pour the entire mixture in the first pan lined with the aluminium foil. Let the fudge cool at room temperature & don’t cover it. When cooled, cover the pan & refrigerate it for 2 hours till it sets completely. When set, remove the fudge along-with the foil & place it on a chopping board. Slice it into squares & EAT.
I’ve to say that they turned out to be very yummy & have definitely reversed all my weight loss efforts during this lockdown. I’ll recommend saving them (try please) & eat them the next day. Homemade sweets always taste 10x better on the next day I believe.
