Getting Back Into MAC

MAC and I have a bit of an on/off relationship. Back in the day when I discovered there was more to explore in the beauty world than the aisles of Health & Glow I went a little cray cray, stowed away MAC eyeshadows in double-digit numbers and possessed quite the penchant for their lipsticks. But in recent times, though their lippies will always hold a special place in my heart – D for Danger and Dangerous are my current colour crushes – things have been looking a little bleak on the MAC front. That was until I was bullied into a purchase of their Fluidline in Blacktrack and the MAC ball was placed back into rolling motion. A quick trip into their Phoenix Market City store each time I’ve popped into the mall and before you know it, I’ve acquired some mini MAC haulage.

Fluidline in Blacktrack was the one that kicked off the rediscovery. It’s a black coloured pot of creamy eye liner goodness that I’ll be cracking out for days when I want a faux smokey eye. Love, love, love. A bit of a random one that I threw into the basket on a whim was their All Fired Up, a lipstick that I swiped my way through years ago on a multitude of times and completely forgot about. It’s one of those lipsticks that everyone has, but we’re all a little stumped on when to use it. It’s a good addition whenever I’m in the mood for makeup playtime.

Two old favourites were also repurchased. I still own a tube of MAC Viva Glam Miley from years ago. Nice light coverage, easily buildable. Another second-timer is their All That Glitters Eye Shadow. I have fond memories of striping this all over my lids back in the day as the finish is pretty darn perfect.

Although I appear to have maxed out my wishlist and only have one product outstanding that isn’t currently in my grasps as it’s always sold out – their Technakohl Liner in Cool Jazz – for the meantime I’m well and truly back into MAC.
