I thought I’d would share a handful of favourites that previously haven’t had much of a spotlight shone on them at G&M. Beauty buffs from faraway lands heading to India this year get your notepad out…
StudioWest is a good starting point; available from Westside, it seems like it doesn’t make it overseas. Highlights include their new-in Radiance Blush in Pink Quartz, a good powder blush compact in a suits all shade. Obvious nods go to the Vivid Nail Colours and the Cashmere Chubby Lipsticks too.
Talking of lips I’m a little bit in love with Lakme’s Enrich Matte Lipstick in BM10. I spoke about this aaaages ago but have found a new lease of love for it. Matte, with a heavy wash of pigment; the colour range is large and perfectly formed. Other things to check at out Lakme counter; their bronzer, highlight and blush offerings. If there’s one thing their makeup line pulls off, it’s powder.
Another one I’ve picked up on my beauty radar before are the Colorbar Nail Lacquers and since I last dabbed in the range early this year so many new colours have appeared. I may have added a few of the strong formulated, glass-like finish polishes in the basket for myself too. If eyeshadows are more your thing then it’s worth heading to Health & Glow to peruse the Chambor stand; with palettes that are never over a thousand and good quality packed powders, your peepers will be happy. There may have been another double purchase of this Chambor Dazzling Sphinx one. Oops.
Now of course there’s way more bits and bobs to add to this list, but I thought I’d keep it short and sweet and to a 4 true gems listing today. And for those heading to Mumbai I’d recommend a visit to the New Beauty Center branch in Khar (it’s the place where budget makeup dreams are made) and 1st Beauty in Ghatkopar – they’re both the best. Don’t expect to leave empty handed.
