‘Indian rose’ isn’t probably a term that would be banded about to describe my look. But I gave my best shot all in the name of trends to give a nod to the naturally flushed, outdoorsy look as seen on the runways of Sabyasachi Mukherjee and DRVV…
Five products is it all it took here, the key is simplicity and thin layers of creamy, light-reflecting textures. I went for the lightest and palest base I have which is the Revlon Photoready BB Cream in Light. It’s my favourite base as I find it moisturising for my combination skin type & it leaves a dewy and natural finish on the skin. I applied a touch of Almay Line Smoothing Concealer in Light/Medium under my eyes and over the tops of my cheekbones. I bloody love this stuff, and I think I’m getting close to running out (panic), a repurchase is certainly on the cards. For eyes I kept it simple with lashings of the Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara. The game changer here is the blush – Maybelline Cheeky Glow in Fresh Coral. I own a fair few blushes and I wish I wore them more often; whenever I wear them I curse myself for not being bothered to throw them on daily. This shade is a beaut, a nice combo of peachy-coral (quelle surprise), it blends in gorgeously and leaves a pretty flushed sheen to the cheeks. I blotted a little of the Max Factor Color Elixir Giant Pen Stick in Designer Blossom onto my lips as well. Pretty? Fab.
Now this is a trend I’d happily recreate each morning – girlie, blushed, flushed but still nice and natural. A wearable trend – hurrah! Keep an eye out for the next ‘Trend’ post as I think I may have found the perfect everyday bright lip in keeping with this season’s hottest colour, oh yes it’s a good ‘un if I may say so myself.
P.S) You like the cheesy picture? It seemed like such a good idea at the time – DOH!
