Look What I Got – Bioderma!

Usually when I purchase something, I quietly write it down in my notepad and add it to my list of ‘Recently Purchased Items That I Haven’t Told People About Yet’ list. I wait until the list no longer fits on one page and finally get off my derriere to write a haul post. However, every now and again something slips through this process and I just have to alert you guys about my latest purchase – hence the child-like ‘Look What I Got’ title 😉 I have been lusting after this product for probably over a year now, so when I got it I just had to write a blog post about it immediately!

The Bioderma Crealine H20 Cleansing Solution is something I have been after for ages! It has quite a loyal following the the beauty world, and is said to be the makeup remover of choice for makeup artists in the industry. Bioderma are known for producing ‘micellar’ solutions, which are makeup removers that basically ‘eat-up’ the makeup instead of spreading it all around your face which some cleansers can do. Formulated to be as gentle as water, it’s fragrance free, suitable for use around the eyes and remove waterproof makeup. This stuff is basically the best of both worlds – gentle, yet effective. It’s super easy to use, just dampen a cotton pad with it and wipe over face to remove makeup, it doesn’t even need rinsing off, although I will follow it with my usual Vichy Normaderm Cleansing Gel. I will just use this in place of my baby wipes to remove the bulk of my makeup, but the whole ‘no-rinsing’ thing may come in very handy for when I’m feeling lazy! If you haven’t heard of Bioderma before, they are a French pharmacy brand, really easy to get hold of in France, but unfortunately very difficult to find over here. Luckily a couple of friends were visiting France & were gracious enough to get some for me. This 500 ml bottle set me back around Rs.584! I’ll keep you updated with how I get on, but I used it take off the remains of last night’s makeup this morning and it performed well! This stuff is a lot cheaper in France so if you’re ever over there then it might be worth stocking up! I think I have just thought of the perfect excuse for a trip to Paris 🙂
