Mane Maintenance

Ever since my hair has been dunked and dipped into colour I’ve had to give it a little more TLC than I used to. My hair doesn’t fall completely into the ‘dry and damaged’ category just yet but it drinks up the good stuff these days so I’ve had to add a fair few new products into my routine, so today it’s the mane maintenance edit…

As a pre-shampoo treatment there’s only one product that bustles about for top place – Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Intensive Hair Treatment. Slathered on an hour or two or even the night before a hair wash, when rinsed out this leaves my hair seriously silky smooth. For shampoo the ranking isn’t so easy. I’ve spoken about the Aaranyaa Sulphate Free Argan Oil Shampoo which serves its purpose perfectly well. Things can get a little wild when it comes to my 2nd day hair as there’s a nice little product conveyor belt that comes out to play. I’m becoming rather fond of dry shampoos and tend to smooth on either the good ol’ Bblunt Back to Life (forgot to add it to the picture, my bad!) or the TIGI Bed Head Sugar Rush. The Bblunt wins by a smidge though as it’s a pump.

I’m crossing my fingers, being economical with heat styling and putting on my mane maintenance, work with me hair. Who knows, if this goes well maybe I’ll have to dip in and go for the whole hair dye hog? Crazier things have happened…
