I have finally gotten around to trying the Maybelline New York Cheeky Glow Blush which has been raved about so so much and marketed as a ‘truly next generation blush’. I got myself rather excited by all this and I do really like it but maybe not quite as much as I thought I would! But I’m not sure, maybe it is just as lovely as it needs to be. I don’t know…take a look!
I have the Maybelline New York Cheeky Glow Blush in the shade Fresh Coral, but there are 2 others – Creamy Cinnamon and Peachy Sweetie.
I think Fresh Coral is the most subtle one which could explain my reluctance to fall wildly in love with it. It is a beautiful blush but I think it is the least pigmented of the bunch and I had a go back to the pan a couple of times to start to see the effect on my skin.
Once I had layered it up a bit I was really happy with it and I think that Fresh Coral is a good name for this shade. It gives you a barely there glow that really lights up the skin but doesn’t really look like you’re wearing blush.
Fresh Coral has the lightest baby pink pigments so it would be perfect for those who like the lightest touch of colour.
What I really like about this is the soft-focus effect it has on the skin. It is the kind of blush that you’d imagine angels would choose! I think I just need to try a slightly more pigmented shade. I am loving the look of Peachy Sweetie. I think I’ll probably stick to Fresh Coral as a super skin-enhancing highlight.
Maybelline New York Cheeky Glow Blush is available at Maybelline counters for Rs.265 each. Which shade would you like? Have you tried them?
