One of my favourite beauty phenomenon to discover are one coat required berry nail polishes. Formulas that with a single stroke can transform a bed from bare to chic in five minutes flat. They are a bit of a rarity to find but I’ve got enough in my collection to see me through ‘damn I have to leave the house in a matter of minutes and am not sporting a mani #disaster’ days. I kid. Though if you’re lacking an uno-application rouge in your stash, here are a few of my favourites for ya:
Deborah Milano Nail Colour in 54 Amaranth – this is one of those formulas where the brush does all the work for you. It’s the perfect shape to get right down into the cuticle and one quick wipe on the edge of the bottle leaves just the right amount of colour behind to get it right in a single coat.
Lakme 9to5 Nail Lacquer in Berry Business – probably my favourite of the four, this one comes on strong. A straight-up strawberry, the glass-like finish means you can even skip a top coat in real time-strapped situations. Blob on, stroke up, step back.
Nuance Nail Polish in Azalea – the most red, more summery berry of the four. The wide brush deposits just enough colour for a satisfactory pass into this category. A possible favourite if we were to fast forward two seasons time? We’ll have to see.
Spoiled Nail Polish in Bite Me – the original one coat berry. Deeper and darker than the rest, it does the job in record speeds. The perfect winter red, this also finds itself on my toe nails from time to time too.
