The Repurchases

It’s fair to say that my beauty stash is ever expanding. I’ve lost count of the number of lipsticks I own (please tell me I’m not the only one who has a hefty lipstick supply!?), my shower gel stores grow by the day and I have more than enough nail polish to open up a well-stocked nail salon. It’s fair to say I have enough beauty stuffs around me to last me a good few years or build a small bungalow if needed. So when a repurchase is made, it’s a big deal. I sneaked into Lifestyle the other day to pick up two essential items that I had recently used right to the depths of the tube, time for a repurchase.

The first culprit was the L’Oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss in Lychee Lust. Long name, amazing product, amazing smell. So amazing in fact, I would put it up there in my top five products that I discovered last year. I put on my makeup, then apply this and wowza – it’s one of the best beauty moments of each day. This leaves my lips soft plus it’s not sticky and doesn’t leave that yucky bits at the sides of your mouth (bonus! lol!). Tick, tick, tick – I’m not sure I’ll ever be without it. The other product is one that I’m on my third repurchase of – Revlon’s Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain, winner of the best lip stain in the world. When I first purchased this I didn’t get the hype. It was nice, but it didn’t dazzle me. I pushed it aside until my lips decided to pretend to be the Sahara desert and in a moment of desperation I threw it on again – problem solved and since then it’s been love.

Now both of these are purse-friendly purchases – the L’Oreal Rs.400 and Revlon Rs.600, the price of which has most definitely risen since I bought my first tube of stuff two years ago.
