The Weekend Post #6: L’Oreal Paris True Match BB Cream

When it comes to BB creams I’m not hugely experimental nor am I particularly that bothered. In more recent months I’ve been using the Pond’s BB cream, but I just didn’t really feel that it was potent enough. So two months ago I picked up the L’Oreal Paris True Match BB Cream in G1 Honey and have been using it weekly (and usually on a Sunday) ever since, here’s the breakdown…

So what is the deal with this BB Cream? Well the hint is in the full name – L’Oreal Paris True Match Skin Idealizing BB Cream.

L’Oreal Paris are dubbing this as the first skin idealizing BB Cream and it promises 3 skincare benefits:

Retexturize – adenosine dermatologically known anti-aging active to smooth skin texture
Retone – Vitamin CG evens skin clarity. Brown spots & yellowish skin tone instantly appears to be neutralized
Protect – SPF 35 PA+++ shields skin against environmental assault

I like this finish. At first I thought it would be too light but it blended in really well. It has done a great job of disguising the redness around my chin, forehead and nose and I think the semi matte finish means I could get away without powder. It feels really light on the skin despite the SPF35 and a fairly thick consistency. The dense formula means that it offers fairly good coverage which is buildable, so it could definitely work well instead of a foundation.

This is a great option for those with sensitive skins although it is suitable for all skin types. 3 shades in all. A bit pricey but you need the smallest amount! I can see a tube lasting me a few more months!
