You know me by now – I love a good beauty blog. Up in there in my list of my favourite activities along with eating, sleeping, completing my skincare routine, watching Modern Family etc etc is having a bit of one-on-one time with my laptop and gorging on a hefty serving from my blogger feed. So this weekend I thought I’d share 10 of my best beauty reads that I don’t really feel ready to complete my day until I’ve got my daily dose from. Get comfy, set a few hours aside and get ready to peruse…
Miss Whoever You Are: Oh my gawd. I just loove this site. I’ve not gushed about it before but I’ll keep it short and sweet. Eileen is a babe. And regular visits to this blog make me want to move to NYC, film GRWM videos and cut my hair short. That is all.
The Beauty Look Book: When I need something new, you can bet your bottom buck that there’s something you’ve yet to read here. The pages at TBLB are updated all the damn time so I’ve been trying to substitute my Buzzfeed reading for something a little more refined and less Kardashian-centric. So far, it’s working.
Tamira Jarrel: I think it only takes three words to sum up this site – ‘Quality over quantity’. She may not produce as much content as I’d like, but her refreshingly honest posts are well worth the wait. From in-depth reviews of Insta-bait products to the deets on how she maintains those on-point brows, she keeps me more than satisfied.
Rouge 18: Oh so beautiful. This blog is just beautiful; the news, the how-tos, the photography. Columns like ‘Fictionary,’ where the founder Amber invents her own beauty language, are as humorous as they are informative.
Corallista: Ah Ankita. Every time I spot a new post of hers in my feed, I drop everything and get reading (see above picture as evidence). Immediately. Not only is Ankita the Queen of slick copy, I tend to read every post while nodding along and scribbling a shopping list with one hand. Her taste is so damn spot on.
New Love – Makeup: The stunningly beautiful Bhumika delivers frequent doses of all things in the makeup, skin, hair and body care worlds all with slick photography and to the point captions. Reading her blog makes my urge to visit Health & Glow go a little wild.
Makeup Review & Beauty Blog: A new-ish find for me but one that I can’t stop scrolling through. It’s definitely worth checking out Jayashree’s makeup reviews; including her recipes. I. Want. EVERYTHING.
Indian Beauty Diary: Another makeup review offering, by beauty expert Pooja who knows her stuff when it comes to cosmetics. I particularly take note of her ‘makeup looks’ – some great gems recommended there.
Scarlet Blush: This is one of my favourite sites to head to when I’m hungry for reviews. makeup news, beauty tips, swatches galore; it’s a fab place to browse when you want to know what new beauty bits to add to your shopping list.
….and there goes the next two hours of your life. But that’s what weekends are for, right?
