A ‘Winter Beauty Edit’ is in the works, but while you pace impatiently for that I thought this weekend I’d share my favourite mani shades that are top of my pile right now. The pastel hues of summer have long been gone on my tips and for the past few weeks the following five have been on repeat – along with a handful of others that deserve dedicated blog posts of their own. Keep an eye out for those. Any guesses? But I do love a dark nail. Toe or finger? Heck I lacquer up both with the stuff. So here’s my serving of my winter mani must-haves:
Deborah Milano Nail Polish in 54 Amaranth – the ultimate mauvey purple. Sometimes these dark shades can be a little troublesome to apply but I find a good duo coat of this does the job and sticks around for a while longer than the rest.
MyGlamm Two of Your Kind Nail Enamel Duo in True Blue and Confetti* – this is probably my favourite of the pack. It’s sat quietly in my collection but after painting it on by chance a few weeks back I have fallen in love. A straight up blue, which doesn’t lean too dark nor bright and it coats on colour in just one layer. The glitter topcoat is pretty awesome too. Rave done – over and out.
Kiko Milano Smart Nail Lacquer in 02 Satin Light Beige* – a nude-tinged beige? You know I’m all over that. Satin Light Beige is fresh from Kiko Milano and from the newly launched store this was the one that instantly made its way onto my fingers.
Colorbar Matte Nail Lacquer in Green Haze – It’s more of a teal green that isn’t too bold, but still gives a nod to its primary family and there’s a slight blue hint running through it too which usually I’m dead set against, but it gives it an interesting edge when painted on.
Faces Hi-Shine Nail Enamel in Molten Rust – my muted bronze pick for those who just aren’t ready to ditch the brown tips just yet *raises hand*. It’s very winter appropriate. Next stop – khaki.
Only one question remains – what colour to paint on today? Answer in the comments.
